Lakesha received her Master of Science in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Bianca D. Goodrum, PhD, LPC-S. While pursuing her degree Lakesha began working with children and families in an agency setting dedicated to helping community members navigate grief. Lakesha has also worked in group homes, schools, and group private practice. Populations I serve are young adults, adults, and couples. My goal is to provide a space where you can express, learn, and challenge yourself. I will provide anon-judgmental, empathetic, and compassionate environment as we collaborate in the therapeutic process. No matter your concern, I will be here to help you move through it. I recognize it can be scary to let someone into your world, but I hope to be a safe and brave space for you to land. As your therapist, I will use a person-centered approach that focuses on a personalized fit for your needs, in combination with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also enjoy incorporating Art and Narrative therapy techniques as a guide for clients to develop ability and understanding in their own lives. During my free time, I enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, nature, spending time with friends, and music!
